  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
  • plain flour - 1 c
  • yeast in 1/2 c
  • sourdough - 1 c

How to make sourdough bread:

Bread:1 pkg. yeast in 1/2 c. warm water2 Tbsp. sugar1 c. sourdough3 Tbsp. vegetable oil Mix flour, sugar and milk and let sour, stirring daily (about 2 days in warm weather). Soften yeast in water; add sugar, oil and sourdough. Mix, but do not beat. Pour in greased loaf pan and cook in 400° oven for 30 minutes or until bread edge pulls from pan. (Do not overcook.)
