- sugar
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- all purpose flour - 3 c
- butter or margarine, softened
- grated orange or lemon peel - 1 tsp
- baking powder and salt - 1/2 tsp
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Generously grease and lightly flour 12 cup tube pan. In large bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy; add vanilla and eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, orange peel, baking powder and salt. Add sour cream; beat well. Pour batter into pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes.
