Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 pt
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- eggs, separated - 6 item
- soda - 1/2 tsp
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add egg yolks, one at a time. Sift flour with soda. Add flour and sour cream alternately to butter-sugar mixture. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into mixture.Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours. Turn cake out of pan immediately on taking from oven.
