Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans
- sour cream - 8 oz
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 3/8 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Topping:3/4 c. chopped pecans2 Tbsp. sugar2 tsp. cinnamon Grease tube pan generously. Heat oven to 350°. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time. Sift flour. Measure, then resift with baking powder and salt. Slowly add to creamed butter and sugar. On low speed, beat in sour cream and vanilla.Mix topping ingredients together. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of topping in bottom of prepared pan. Cover with 1/4 batter. Add alternately 2 tablespoons of topping and batter, ending with topping. Bake 55 minutes.
