Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg unbeaten - 1 item
- molasses - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1/3 c
- softened shortening - 1/2 c
How to make soft molasses cookies:
Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Drop by teaspoon onto a slightly greased baking sheet. Bake 15 to 18 minutes.
