Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- shortening, butter or margarine - 1 c
How to make snickerdoodles:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs well; in separate bowl mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to shortening mixture and combine thoroughly. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll into 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon that have been mixed together. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
