Skillet zucchini
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- small zucchini, sliced - 5 item
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
- either fresh pork sausage, Italian sausage or ground chuck - 1 lb
How to make skillet zucchini:
Pan-fry in large skillet sausage or chuck for 15 minutes. Drain off fat. Add onions, zucchini and garlic powder. Cook for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, basil, oregano and salt. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add cheese. Simmer until it melts. May be served over rice, but it is very good plain.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Vegetables.
