Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- Karo - 1/2 c
How to make shoo-fly pie:
Mix the flour, shortening and sugar to crumbs. In another bowl, combine the water, baking soda, Karo, molasses and egg. Put half of the crumbs in liquid. Mix. Sprinkle rest of crumbs on top. Bake in two 9-inch unbaked pie shells at 375°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
