Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • prepared mustard - 2 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • slices toasted bread, buttered and cubed - 4 item
  • flour or 1 Tbsp - 2 Tbsp
  • tomatoes 3/4 qt - 28 oz

How to make scalloped tomatoes:

Saute celery and onions in margarine. Add flour, sugar, salt, pepper and mustard. Mix well. Add tomatoes and cubed bread. Save enough bread crumbs to put on top. Put in 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
