Scalloped tomatoes
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- prepared mustard - 2 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- slices toasted bread, buttered and cubed - 4 item
- flour or 1 Tbsp - 2 Tbsp
- tomatoes 3/4 qt - 28 oz
How to make scalloped tomatoes:
Saute celery and onions in margarine. Add flour, sugar, salt, pepper and mustard. Mix well. Add tomatoes and cubed bread. Save enough bread crumbs to put on top. Put in 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake at 350° for 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Kosher.
