Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- finely chopped onion - 1/2 c
- medium potatoes, pared and thinly sliced - 4 item
- milk or evaporated milk
- paprika or parsley flakes - 1 item
How to make scalloped potatoes:
Arrange potatoes in a buttered glass casserole. Sprinkle with flour, salt and onion. Mix lightly. Stir in milk and dot with butter. Cook, covered, 15 to 18 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes. Rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Sprinkle cheese evenly over top and garnish with paprika or parsley flakes.Recipe categories: Low protein, Potato, Vegetables.
