Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- pkg - 1 1/2
- water - 1/4 c
- cold water - 1/2 c
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
- dark rum - 1/2 c
- Mix all ingredients and pour over nuts
How to make rum cake:
Sprinkle nuts over bottom of 10-inch tube pan which has been greased and floured. Mix all ingredients and pour over nuts. Bake 1 hour at 325°. Cool, prick top and spoon glaze over all.Glaze:1/4 lb. butter1/4 c. water1 c. granulated sugar1/2 c. dark rum Melt butter; stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
