- flour - 3/4 c
- margarine - 6 Tbsp

- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 5 c
- soft bread crumbs
- reserved broth - 6 c

How to make scalloped chicken:
Sauce:1/2 c. chicken fat and margarine, melted3/4 c. flour5 c. chicken broth4 eggs Dressing:4 c. soft bread crumbs2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper1/2 c. chopped celery2 Tbsp. chopped onion6 Tbsp. margarine Sauce: Melt fat, stir in flour and blend well over low heat. Add broth and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly and slowly add to well beaten eggs.Dressing: Saute the celery and onion in 6 tablespoons margarine until just tender, not browned. Place 1/2 of dressing mixture on bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place chicken over dressing. Pour sauce evenly over chicken and top with remaining dressing. Bake 1 hour at 325°. Can use remaining broth for gravy to serve with chicken.
