- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- celery salt - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, minced - 1 item
- carrot, sliced - 1 item
- stalk celery with leaves, chopped - 1 item
- some parsley - 1 item
- bread cubes stale bread - 6 c
How to make scalloped chicken:
Cover chicken with water; add celery, onion, carrot, salt, pepper and parsley. Cover and cook until tender. Cool and pick from the bone; cut into cubes.Combine cubed chicken, bread cubes, minced onion and celery salt.
Heat broth; add to chicken and bread cubes until moistened. Bake in a greased baking dish at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
