Sauerkraut salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- diced green pepper - 1/2 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- small jar pimento - 1 item
- sauerkraut - 2 lb
How to make sauerkraut salad:
Make a syrup of the vinegar, sugar and oil. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Drain sauerkraut; rinse in water and drain well. Add celery, peppers, onion and pimento to sauerkraut. Pour syrup over all. Mix together and refrigerate a day or two before serving. Keep covered. Makes 6 to 8 servings. It is a sweet-sour taste and very tasty.Recipe categories: < 15 mins, Salads, 3 steps or less.
