Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • finely chopped celery
  • white vinegar - 1/2 c
  • green pepper, slivered - 1/2 item
  • chopped sweet onion - 3/4 c
  • large can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed - 1 item
  • red pepper, slivered - 1/2 item

How to make sauerkraut salad:

Cut through sauerkraut several times. Combine kraut with celery, onions and green and red peppers. Dissolve sugar in oil and vinegar. Pour over vegetables and toss. Chill for several hours or overnight. Stir occasionally.
