Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 1/3 c
- water - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- sifted all-purpose plain flour - 2 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
How to make sandies:
Cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla. Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts. Chill for 4 hours. Shape in balls or fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325° about 20 minutes. Remove from pan; cool slightly. Roll in confectioners sugar. Makes about 3 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
