Salted peanut cookies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- salted peanuts - 1 c
- uncooked oatmeal - 1 c
- coarsely crushed corn flakes - 1 c
How to make salted peanut cookies:
Cream together the shortening and sugars. Beat until light. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to first mixture. Work in the peanuts, corn flakes and oatmeal. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Dip balls in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake in a 375° oven for about 10 minutes.
