Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 3 c
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • butter - 6 Tbsp
  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • soft bread crumbs - 3/4 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • elbow macaroni - 8 oz
  • grated old cheese - 3 c

How to make macaroni and cheese:

Cook macaroni as directed. Melt 4 tablespoons butter and stir in flour. Cook until bubbly. Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce and bring milk to a boil with onion in it. Strain into flour mixture and stir. Add cheese and stir again. Put macaroni into a buttered casserole and pour sauce over it. Melt remaining butter and mix in crumbs. Sprinkle over top and bake 30 minutes in a 375° oven. "Yummy".
