Macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- soft bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- elbow macaroni - 8 oz
- grated old cheese - 3 c
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Cook macaroni as directed. Melt 4 tablespoons butter and stir in flour. Cook until bubbly. Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce and bring milk to a boil with onion in it. Strain into flour mixture and stir. Add cheese and stir again. Put macaroni into a buttered casserole and pour sauce over it. Melt remaining butter and mix in crumbs.
