Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- cold water - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- dry bread crumbs - 1/3 c
- large onion, sliced and separated into rings - 1 item
- condensed beef broth - 1 can
- mushrooms, sliced about 3 c - 8 oz
How to make salisbury steak:
Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg; shape into 4 oval patties, each about 3/4 inch thick. Cook patties in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally until brown, about 10 minutes; drain. Add onion, broth and mushrooms.
