Rum sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- yolks of 2 eggs
- milk or cream - 1/2 c
- rum or 2 tsp - 2 Tbsp
How to make rum sauce:
Cream the butter. Add sugar gradually, then rum flavoring very slowly. Add well beaten egg yolks and milk or cream. Cook over hot water until it thickens as a custard. Pour onto beaten egg whites. It is delicious on bread pudding.Recipe categories: Sweet sauces, Sauces, Savory sauces.
