  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • water - 1/2 c
  • Wesson oil - 1/2 c
  • rum - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • butter
  • sugar - 1 c

How to make rum cake:

Glaze:1/4 lb. butter1/4 c. water1/4 c. rum1 c. sugar Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan well and put nuts into bottom of pan. Mix remaining ingredients in order listed. Beat 3 minutes. Pour into pan and bake 50 to 55 minutes. Remove from oven and glaze hot cake while still in pan.

Glaze: Mix all ingredients in saucepan and boil for 2 or 3 minutes. Gradually spoon over hot cake. Use toothpick to make holes in cake so glaze will go into cake. Let cake remain in pan for 30 minutes, then remove.
