Ingredients/Components

  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • pkg - 1 3/4
  • eggs - 4 item
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • Wesson oil - 1/2 c
  • Bacardi dark rum - 1/2 c
  • Mix all cake ingredients together
  • water - 1/4 c
  • sugar - 1 c
  • rum - 1/2 c

How to make bacardi rum cake:

Sprinkle nuts over greased 10 or 12-cup Bundt pan. Mix all cake ingredients together. Pour batter over nuts. Bake 1 hour at 325°. Cool and put cake on a serving dish. Prick top and spoon glaze over top and sides evenly. Repeat until all the glaze has been absorbed.Glaze:1/4 lb. butter1/4 c. water1 c. sugar1/2 c. rum Melt butter in saucepan. Stir melted butter, water and sugar. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
