Ingredients/Components

  • box Duncan Hines golden butter or yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • small box instant vanilla pudding - 1 item
  • rum - 1/2 c
  • Crisco oil - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • chopped walnuts - 1 item
  • Beat in eggs and pudding
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • water - 1/4 c

How to make rum cake:

Mix cake mix, rum and oil. Beat in eggs and pudding. Prepare Bundt pan; spray with Pam and sprinkle with chopped walnuts (about 1/4 cup). Fill with cake batter. Bake at 325° for about 1 hour. Test with skewer; let cool. Cut into it with a knife all over the top. Drizzle glaze over it. Let cool; remove from pan.Glaze:1 c. sugar1/4 lb. butter1/4 c. water1/4 c. rum Boil ingredients for 2 minutes.
