Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 4 c
- bread flour - 2 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- Crisco not oil - 1/2 c
How to make rolls:
Sprinkle yeast over the flours. Combine eggs, milk, water, sugar and Crisco in a pan, stirring until shortening melts. Set pan off and cool just when you can set pan in hand. Pour over flour. Mix with hands (dough will be sticky). Cover and let rise 1 hour. Punch dough down and refrigerate overnight or about 6 to 7 hours in the refrigerator.Roll out, cut and brush with melted margarine. Fold in half; brush the top with melted margarine. Cover and let rise about 2 to 3 hours. Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
