Roasted pecans
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- self-rising flour - 2 Tbsp
- pecan halves - 2 c
- egg white - 1 item
How to make roasted pecans:
Beat egg white until soft peaks form. Mix in sugar, flour and vanilla. Pour in pecans and stir until all are coated. Place pecans 1-inch apart on a cookie sheet covered with brown paper. (A brown paper bag works great.) Bake 30 minutes in a 250° oven, then turn off oven and let set in oven 30 more minutes. Remove from oven and loosen nuts from paper and let set to cool.Recipe categories: Fruit, Appetizers, Nuts.
