Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- seedless raisins - 1/2 c
- cooked rice - 2 c
- large eggs or 4 egg yolks - 2 item
How to make rice pudding:
Mix eggs, sugar and salt. Add scalded milk; add nutmeg, vanilla, rice and raisins. Pour into 1-quart buttered casserole; sprinkle with nutmeg. Set in pan of water (1/2 casserole in water). Bake 1 hour 10 minutes at 350°. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Rice.
