  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • white sugar - 1/3 c
  • prepared rhubarb - 3 c

How to make rhubarb cake:

Mix first 9 ingredients in order given. Spread half batter in 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Add rhubarb and spread remainder of batter over the top. Sprinkle with white sugar mixed with cinnamon over it and bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
