Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • melted butter - 1/4 c
  • egg - 1 item

How to make rhubarb cake:

Grease 9 x 9-inch pan. Combine 2 tablespoons butter, 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, 1/3 cup sugar, egg and milk. Spread mixture in pan. Put on 2 good rows (layers) of rhubarb (1-inch long cubes). Over rhubarb, sprinkle 1 box strawberry jello. Mix 1/2 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup melted butter. Crumb this on top of jello-ed rhubarb. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
