Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar
- butter - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
How to make coffee cake:
Filling:1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. melted butter1/2 c. chopped nuts Sift dry ingredients together. Cream sugar with butter. Add well beaten egg, milk and vanilla. Beat only enough to mix well. Pour 1/2 of the batter in a well-greased 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle over this half of the filling. Add rest of the batter and then top with the remainder of the filling. Bake in a 375° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
