Refrigerator rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- mashed potatoes - 1/2 c
- lukewarm water - 1/2 c
- pinch milk, scald and cool - 1 item
- flour to make batter like thick pancake batter - 1 item
How to make refrigerator rolls:
Mix together with mixer. Set and let rise until double in bulk. Then add flour to make soft dough. Mix and put into greased bowl to chill in refrigerator. Will keep up to a week.For cinnamon rolls, take out as much as you need. Roll fairly thin. Spread with melted butter then brown sugar and then sprinkle on cinnamon. Roll up and cut off in 1 1/2-inch slices. Place on sheet (greased). Pat down some; let rise. Bake at 425°.
