Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk
- baking powder - 3 Tbsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1/2 c
How to make angel biscuits:
Sift together first 5 ingredients. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in water; add to first ingredients. Add buttermilk and work together until all the flour is moistened. Put in a bowl and cover. Place in refrigerator until ready to use. Either roll out and cut or place on floured surface and pat out to 1/2 inch thick. Let rise. Keep up to 2 weeks in refrigerator.
