- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- self-rising flour
- Crisco
- red food coloring - 2 oz
- Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
How to make red velvet cake:
Icing:1 1/4 c. Crisco1 1/4 c. sugar1 Tbsp. flour1 1/4 c. milk Mix shortening and sugar; blend in eggs, food coloring and salt. Mix in part of flour and buttermilk and add rest of flour. Separately mix vanilla, soda and vinegar and add to other mRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
