Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- cocoa
- red food coloring - 2 oz
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
- box yellow cake mix not pudding or butter - 1 item
- Frosting:1 stick softened butter
How to make red velvet cake:
Frosting:1 stick softened butter8 oz. cream cheese, softened1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla extract For cake, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Pour into two greased and floured cake pans. Bake on top rack of oven for approximately 30 minutes at 325°. Allow to cool.For frosting, combine all ingredients; mix well. Frost between layers, top and sides of cake.
