- red food coloring - 2 oz
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sugar - 2 c
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- flour
- eggs - 2 item
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- soda
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Make paste of cocoa and vinegar; add oleo, flour, salt and soda to mixture
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- box 4x sugar - 1 item
How to make red velvet cake:
Cream sugar and eggs, beating until fluffy. Make paste of cocoa and vinegar; add oleo, flour, salt and soda to mixture. Add buttermilk, vanilla and food coloring. Bake in 350° oven until done.Cream Cheese Frosting:1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz.)1/2 stick margarine1 box 4x sugar1 tsp. vanilla Beat cream cheese and margarine until smooth. Add sugar and mix well.
