- Wesson oil
- sugar
- buttermilk - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- red food coloring - 2 oz
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- Frosting:1 stick margarine
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- box powdered sugar, sifted - 1 item
- pecans - 1 c
How to make red velvet cake:
Frosting:1 stick margarine8 oz. cream cheese1 box powdered sugar, sifted1 tsp. vanilla1 c. pecans Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs one at a time and milk. Sift flour, salt, soda and cocoa together, then alternate milk and dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Then add food coloring and vinegar; beat well. Add vanilla.Frosting: Cream margarine, cream cheese and vanilla. Add sugar. Last, add pecans.
