Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, minced - 4 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- large onions, chopped - 2 item
- dried red beans - 2 lb
- Tabasco sauce to taste - 1 item
- ham chunks - 1 ham
How to make red beans and rice:
Wash dried beans. Remove any foreign matter. Place in 4 to 6-quart saucepan. Add 4 quarts water, ham, onion, garlic and seasoning. Simmer slowly about 3 hours, until beans are soft and gravy is thick. Serve over cooked rice with Tabasco sauce.Recipe categories: Pork, Beans, Rice.
