Red beans and rice
Ingredients/Components
- water
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- onion, diced - 1/2 c
- celery, diced - 1/2 c
- can red kidney beans - 1 oz
- bell pepper, diced - 1/2 c
- can Italian style or Cajun style stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
- fast cooking rice - 2 c
How to make red beans and rice:
Heat oil in large skillet. Add celery, onion and pepper. Stir about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and water. Bring to a boil. Add rice. Stir, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Add kidney beans and stir until heated. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Pork, Beans, Rice.
