Ingredients/Components

  • garlic salt - 1 tsp
  • sliced green onions - 4 item
  • can chicken broth - 1 1/2
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • olive oil - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped parsley - 1/4 c
  • can diced tomatoes - 1 1/2
  • dried crushed red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • rib celery, diced - 1 item
  • can red beans, rinsed and drained - 1 oz
  • quick cooking couscous - 10 oz

How to make red beans and couscous:

Bring broth, undrained tomatoes, salt, pepper, basil and oregano to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat. Stir in couscous. Let stand 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Stir in kidney beans, oil, onions, parsley and celery. Serve hot or slightly chilled.
