Red beans and couscous
Ingredients/Components
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- sliced green onions - 4 item
- can chicken broth - 1 1/2
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped parsley - 1/4 c
- can diced tomatoes - 1 1/2
- dried crushed red pepper - 1/2 tsp
- rib celery, diced - 1 item
- can red beans, rinsed and drained - 1 oz
- quick cooking couscous - 10 oz
How to make red beans and couscous:
Bring broth, undrained tomatoes, salt, pepper, basil and oregano to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat. Stir in couscous. Let stand 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Stir in kidney beans, oil, onions, parsley and celery. Serve hot or slightly chilled.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Beans.
