  • coconut - 2 c
  • oil - 1/4 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • Jell-O vanilla instant pudding - 1 serving
  • box 4x sugar - 1 item
  • Stir in coconut and walnuts

How to make rave review coconut cake:

Blend the first 5 ingredients and beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Stir in coconut and walnuts. Pour in 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Cool in pans 15 minutes before removing.Cream Cheese Frosting:4 Tbsp. butter2 c. coconut1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese2 tsp. milk1 box 4x sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in pan and add coconut. Stir constantly over low heat until golden brown. Spread the coconut on paper towels to cool. Cream 2 tablespoons of butter with cream cheese and add the milk and 4x sugar alternately, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; stir in 1 3/4 cups of the coconut. Frost cake. Sprinkle with remaining coconut.
