Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • baking powder
  • nonfat milk - 1 c
  • orange peel, grated - 2 tsp
  • diet margarine - 1/3 c
  • nuts, chopped fine - 1/2 c
  • white raisins, chopped - 1 c

How to make raisin bread:

Preheat oven to 350°. Sift dry ingredients; add margarine, orange peel, eggs and nonfat milk. Mix until blended. Stir in nuts and raisins. Place in well-greased loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch). Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or until loaf tests done. Remove from pan and store 12 hours before slicing.
