Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- vinegar - 4 c
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
- turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- cucumbers - 4 qt
- onions optional - 2 c
How to make quick bread and butter pickles:
Bring to a boil the sugar, spices and vinegar. Slice thin fresh unpeeled cucumbers. Pack into jars with onions, if onions are desired. Fill jars with boiling syrup. Put immediately into boiling water for 5 minutes.Recipe categories: < 30 mins, Condiments, etc., Vegetarian.
