Ingredients/Components

  • eggs, beaten - 4 item
  • margarine - 1 tsp
  • light cream - 2 c
  • ground nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • white pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Swiss cheese, shredded - 1/4 lb
  • 9-inch pie crust
  • slices bacon, crisp and crumbled - 6 item

How to make quiche lorraine:

Saute onion in oil until tender; set aside to cool. Line crust with bacon and shredded cheese. Combine eggs, cream, salt, spices and onion. Pour into crust.

Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Can add mushrooms, broccoli or spinach.
