Ingredients/Components
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- margarine - 1 tsp
- light cream - 2 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- white pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Swiss cheese, shredded - 1/4 lb
- 9-inch pie crust
- slices bacon, crisp and crumbled - 6 item
How to make quiche lorraine:
Saute onion in oil until tender; set aside to cool. Line crust with bacon and shredded cheese. Combine eggs, cream, salt, spices and onion. Pour into crust.Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Can add mushrooms, broccoli or spinach.
