Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2/3 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- 1 lb - 3 c
- reserved cake mix - 1 c
How to make pumpkin squares:
Grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch pan. Reserve 1 cup cake mix for topping. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Pour into pan. Combine pie mix, 2 eggs and milk. (Tip: When using 1 pound can solid packed pumpkin, add 2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice and 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar.) Place filling over base. Combine reserved cake mix and 1/4 cup sugar. Sprinkle topping over filling. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares.
