Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- melted margarine - 4 Tbsp
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- canned pumpkin
- pecans - 1/3 c
- cloves - 1/8 tsp
- vanilla ice cream, softened - 1 qt
How to make pumpkin ice cream pie:
Pie Filling:1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin1/4 c. brown sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/4 tsp. ginger1/8 tsp. nutmeg1/8 tsp. cloves1/4 tsp. salt1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened1/3 c. pecans Pie Crust: Mix ingredients together. Press on bottom and sides of 9 or 10-inch pie plate. Chill well.Pie Filling: Combine the pumpkin, brown sugar, spices and salt; mix well. Add ice cream; mix well. Spoon mixture into crust. Garnish top of pie with pecans. Freeze pie until firm. During dinner, let pie stand at room temperature to soften slightly before serving.
