Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- salt
- flour
- water - 2/3 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- can pumpkin or 2 c - 1 oz
How to make pumpkin bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans or three 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch pans. In large bowl, cream the shortening and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves. Pour into pans; bake for 70 minutes, or until pick comes out clean.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Vegetables.
