Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour
- raisins - 1/2 c
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- pumpkin puree - 1 c
- Dash of mace - 1 item
How to make pumpkin bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking soda. Mix the pumpkin, oil, eggs, 1/4 cup water and the spices together, then combine with the dry ingredients; do not mix too thoroughly. Stir in the nuts. Pour into a well-buttered 9-inch by 5-inch by 3-inch loaf pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Turn out of pan and cool on a rack.
