Prune cake with buttermilk icing
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- sugar
- flour - 2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- prunes, cooked and chopped - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Add buttermilk to the egg mixture
- corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
How to make prune cake with buttermilk icing:
Blend sugar, oil, eggs, sifted flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and allspice together. Add buttermilk to the egg mixture. Add vanilla, nuts and prunes; mix well. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish, lightly greased with butter. Bake at 300° fRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Breakfast.
