  • oil - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • sugar
  • flour - 2 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • prunes, cooked and chopped - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • Add buttermilk to the egg mixture
  • corn syrup - 1 Tbsp

How to make prune cake with buttermilk icing:

Blend sugar, oil, eggs, sifted flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and allspice together. Add buttermilk to the egg mixture. Add vanilla, nuts and prunes; mix well. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish, lightly greased with butter. Bake at 300° f
