Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- white syrup - 1 tsp
- pecans - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- cooked and chopped prunes - 1 c
How to make prune cake:
Icing:1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1 tsp. white syrup1/4 c. margarine1/2 tsp. vanilla Blend together oil and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add alternately buttermilk, flour, soda, cinnamon and allspice. Add vanilla, nuts and prunes. Bake in ungreased pan for 1 hour at 300°. Mix icing ingredients together in double boiler and let boil as long as cake bakes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
