Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 4 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 1 c
• salt - 1 tsp
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• sifted flour - 3 c
• butter or Crisco - 1/2 lb

How to make pound cake:

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Alternate with milk and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
