Ingredients/Components
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- butter - 1 lb
- eggs, divided use - 6 item
- flour, divided use - 3 c
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Cream together the powdered sugar and butter 5 minutes on medium speed. Add 2 eggs and 1 cup flour, beating 3 minutes. Add the lemon extract and vanilla, then 2 more eggs and 1 cup flour. Beat 3 minutes. Then add 2 more eggs with 1 cup flour. Beat 5 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 60 to 65 minutes or until done. Cool 30 minutes in pan.
